The interval
We visited Jim Fleeting, an early mentor of Tom's, in his shop in Manchester. Jim is renowned for his repair work, but he also builds a cracking guitar. His approach to his craft is very much 'anyone can learn anything as long as they work hard enough', and after deciding to enrol in a lutherie evening class several years ago, he proved his own philosophy despite never having touched a woodworking tool beforehand.
